Personally, I LOVE “I’m rechargin’”…but, that doesn’t explain HOW and WHY so many people are finding it – as distinct from finding this site’s main page, or most recent post/s…

Astounding!

I am having a thoroughly ODD experience with this blog: I was away from home for a 3-day weekend, didn’t have access to a computer at all. I came home too tired to even look at my email – so I didn’t – and I only logged on, after a break of 4 or 5 days.

By then, of course I assumed that everything would look so stale here, that no-one would be visiting at all…but I was too tired  to care about it.

When I logged on, imagine how surprised I was to find that my stats were (relatively-speaking) “through-the-roof”!

Bearing in mind that this is a new blog with only a tiny audience, usually – where I appreciate each one of you – my usual number of views or hits per day is around 5 to 7.  Yes: that means only 5 to 7 people… My busiest day ever was 39, which has happened only a couple of times – usually when I specifically ASKED (real-life) friends to look at something I had put up. 

And here I find, that while I was away and NOT posting, I have had hits of almost 300 per day!

WHY?!?

I’d LOVE one of you to TELL me!

Especially since no-one is leaving any comments, which I find rather bizarre…

The search terms or keywords which most people are using or responding to are anything to do with funny cat pictures: ‘funny cats’, ‘cute cats’, ‘funny pictures’, ‘lolcats’, etc – so I assume that the concept of funny cat pictures must have been getting some big publicity somewhere, and I am getting traffic as a spin-off…

Even stranger, the post which has been, by far, the most viewed, is this one - which is brief and insubstantial – even though it IS a delightful image/caption.

SO…I don’t know WHAT to make of all that activity, and I arther assume that you will all vaporise fairly soon, just as quickly and quietly as you arrived…but it’s nice to have ‘known’ you (!) and I hope you enjoy what you find here.

This lolcat refers to yesterday, which was my birthday…more on THAT subject LATER.

Africa & South America

Hi. I noticed the other day – with excitement – that we have a new dot on each of these continents. I find this so remarkable – even though I know its how the internet works. 

Just like aviation – you know, when you are taking off, and you just think ‘how can this BE?’-  all these people and all this luggage, and it just goes up into the sky and around the globe!? REMARKABLE – unbelievable, quite literally – at least, to ME!… I will never cease to marvel at HOW this can and does happen – both the plane and the internet.

So, I wonder who and where these two people are, and how they found me, and I would love it if they would speak up, and say … I know its unlikely, but I CAN at least ASK… 

Only 6 votes on the poll, and they are divided between cat pics and text posts, so I remain undecided so far. I will leave the poll up a bit longer, hoping for some more responses.
